REG Taylor, of Parsonage Farm, acquired from the Post Office the front of an old Victorian postbox in 1966, to fix on a Victorian lamp-post in his back garden, below. He was given it on condition that he put it out of sight of the public in case they tried to post their letters.
Children from Blewbury Primary School planted trees as part of a national project in 1976. Two pupils are seen in the second picture with headteacher Ron Martin.
In 1967, a new magazine, Blewbury Self Portrait, was launched, with articles on various aspects of village life. Joint editors Ron Freedorn and Tony Fortnan are seen in the third picture with Ron Martin, chairman of Blewbury Village Society, which published the magazine.
