STILL flying high after qualifying for the Great Britain team for the World Triathlon Championships, The Oxford Times reporter Emma-Kate Lidbury is in action again this weekend.
The 26-year-old, who lives in Jericho, Oxford, will be taking part in the National Triathlon Championships in Wakefield, Yorkshire, on Sunday.
She said: "I'm really looking forward to racing and I'm feeling in good form.
"There's no doubt the competition will be tough and the course is notoriously difficult, but that's all part of the challenge."
Emma-Kate won her place in the Great Britain squad at the Shropshire Triathlon last month, finishing the Olympic distance course (1500m swim, 40km bike, 10km run) in a time of 2 hours, 13 minutes and 46 seconds.
She is now concentrating on the World Championships, which take place in Lausanne, Switzerland, in September.
But it is not all good news triathletes in the squad are expected to fund the trip to Switzerland themselves, so Emma-Kate is looking for sponsorship.
She would like to hear from any local firms or businesses who would like to team up with her.
