FOURTEEN-year-old Joe Harris had a debut to remember as Abingdon Vale 2nd defeated Sandford St Martin 2nd by seven wickets in Division 6.

Harris took 4-27 from ten overs, supported by Guy Lemon (4-38) as Vale bowled out Sandford for 165.

Steve Cox top-scored with 48 for Sandford.

Veterans Phil Evans (48) and Alec Inns (41) laid the foundations of Vale's reply as they got back to winning ways.

Bourton Vale 2nd stay on course for back-to-back promotions by cruising past Tiddington 2nd.

Matt Walton was Vale's hero, hitting 137 in their 217-5, which included 40 from James Collett and 4-62 from Neil Smith.

Earlier, Smith had hit 79 and Nick Edmondson 44 in Tiddington's 215-9, while Greg Shepherd took 5-65 as Bourton stay top.

Adam Leach produced a tremendous all-round performance, taking 6-60 and then hitting 40 as Oxford 3rd beat Great & Little Tew 2nd by four wickets.

Tew had been skittled for 176, Paul Catling top-scoring with 42.

Although Ian Crofts took 4-58, an 87-run stand from Leach and captain James Davis (30) sealed the points for Oxford.
