Delicious food is on the menu for an event early next month in Oxford's Cowley Road.
Mini plant owner BMW has stepped in to become the lead sponsor of what will be known as the Eat the World event on Sunday, July 2, investing more than £10,000 to boost the range of activities on the day.
It will replace the Cowley Road Carnival, which has had to be scrapped this year due to a lack of funds. Original plans were for a scaled down event to celebrate the diversity of food in the area, but now there will be a wide range of activities on the day.
These wll include three live music stages, four sound systems, street performers and dance and theatre workshops.
Local businesses will provide community stalls and food demonstrations and seven local primary schools will also be involved. Last year's event attracted 25,000 people and organisers are hopeful of attracting a smilar figure across the day, which runs from noon to 6pm.
