Sir, You report (June 16) that the 'Oxford City Patients' Forum' has appealed to Dr Hood, vice-chancellor of Oxford University, to drop its opposition to the supersurgery proposal on the Radcliffe Infirmary site.
Whoever this forum is as a patient here for 32 years I have never heard of it it certainly does not represent my views nor those of any of the other patients (or indeed staff I've spoken to) at the Beaumont Street surgery I use. My recent straw poll of those in the waiting room showed unanimous praise for our surgery which is friendly, welcoming and excellently managed with fine doctors and nurses. I can get a same-day appointment and there is a lot of flexibility. Moving these surgeries north will increase journey times and significantly inconvenience all but a small minority of their patients. We are happy why change it? Please Dr Hood don't listen to this forum, it doesn't speak for the patients!
