I live in Old Road, Headington, and we are being given residents' parking. The road has been painted and the poles put in - all we are waiting for are the signs.
We had a letter two weeks ago stating that we were not at present being charged, then a couple of days ago, a sign stapled to a telegraph pole outside my house stated that a charge of £40, plus a charge for visitors of 60p a day sold in strips of 25 costing £15, was being applied.
This is turning into a city in which we will be able to survive only if we have vast sums of money. Pensioners and people on low incomes will end up being prisoners in their own homes. I think it is disgusting.
