A FINE all-round display from Oxford University's Duncan Bradshaw helped secure Kidlington their first win in Division 2 West as they beat North Maidenhead by 44 runs.
Batting first, newly-promoted Kidlington really struggled before lunch after losing three early wickets against some tight bowling by the hosts' Indian player Paras Mhambrey.
By the interval, Kidlington had reached 60-2 off 33 overs, and it looked as through 180 would be a good score.
However, the superb fourth-wicket stand between Bradshaw and Buckingham turned the game.
Bradshaw, who made 88, and Buckingham (60) accelerated the scoring so that Kidlington reached a useful 208-7 from their 60 overs.
North Maidenhead went for their strokes as they quickly raced to 42-0.
But the introduction of Bradshaw and Mali Richards led to a clatter of wickets as the home side slumped to 100-6.
Richards picked up four wickets and Bradshaw three to leave North Maidenhead struggling.
Then Sajid Hussain mopped up the tail to dismiss them for 164 an innings that lasted only 33.4 overs.
