Simon Oliver, from Wallingford, recounts his journey out to watch England play Paraguay. Reads his views of the game in Monday's Oxford Mail Our trip out to Germany yesterday was marred when about half of our party discovered they were victims of a ticket scam.
I'm travelling out by coach and ferry to Frankfurt with about 50 England fans, with several of them from Oxford.
I've got my ticket for the Paraguay game, but a large number have been conned by a so-called ticket agent.
But I'm confident that once we get to the stadium, we'll all get tickets for the game.
I watched the opening game in a Luxembourg bar and the place erupted when Costa Rica scored their first goal.
There was just one German in the bar, all dressed up in his national regalia in his national dress, but he soon disappeared when he saw all us England in T-shirts and shorts!
This is my first World Cup, and I'm confident England will do well.
We've got the players to go all the way, provided we get the luck.
It's about time our luck changed in major competitions and I believe this could be our year.
Our key players are Steve Gerrard, Frank Lampard and John Terry, while from his displays in the warm-up games, David Beckham seems to be back to his best.
I don't know much about Paraguay, but I expect Engalnd to beat them and give us the perfect start.
