HENLEY came out on top in Saturday's big derby to put themselves second in the Division 1 table and leave Oxford rooted to the bottom.
After losing the toss, Oxford were reduced to 63-4 by the 16th over.
A stand of 59 in ten overs between Stewart Laudat and Ronak Sekhri repaired the damage somewhat, and by lunch, Oxford were 142-6 off 30 overs.
Two more quick wickets after the interval put the visitors deeper into the mire and only a partnership of 42 for the ninth wicket, with Jonno Evans scoring a valuable 33, took them past 200 before they were all out in the 55th over.
Tom Lambert was the pick of the bowlers, finishing with 5-63 from 17.1 overs.
Chasing a target of 209 to win, Henley lost a wicket in the third over, but stands of 58 for the second wicket and 60 for the third upped the run rate.
Chris Ellison scored 70 from 69 balls, with other contributions coming from Jonathan McLean and Todd Ferguson.
A stand of 54 in only eight overs between David Allaway and Brian Murphy saw Henley race home with 25 overs to spare.
