Martin Ruffles and Mick Berry both clanged off double sixers to inspire their teams to victory in Premier & Section 1.
Ruffles was in momentous form as Plough came from behind to beat Squire Bassett 2-1.
Squire took the first leg 25-20, but could do nothing as Plough set and took the second with a tremendous 35-19.
They then rounded off a fine night by taking the decider 27-26. Ruffles ended up with 16 dolls, while Paul Sawyer was top dog for Squire with 13.
Berry also whipped off 16 dolls in White House's 2-1 victory over Cowley Workers.
In a close fought match, White House claimed the first leg 25-22, but lost the next 25-24 before snatching a nail-biting third leg 28-27.
Dick Walsh also chipped in with a six for his 14 dolls.
Champions Cricketers suffered their second defeat of the season in a high-scoring game at George, Littlemore, featuring 184 dolls and six sixers.
George set the pace in the first leg with 36 and Cricketers responded with 29.
They set the second leg with 31, but anchor man Willy Waite secured it for George, whipping of the three dolls needed.
Nothing could separate them in the final leg as they tied 28-28 and then an incredible 18-18 in the three sticks.
Cricketers took a one stick shoot-out 5-4.
Kevin Giles and Francis Hillier (George) plus Philip Adams, Kevin Giles (Cricketers) all hit 15 dolls (6-5-4).
New Club's Dick Simmonds was in sparkling form in Section 2, smashing off 16 dolls (5-5-6) as they pipped Turners Arms 2-1.
The first leg was tied 25-25 with the club men taking it on three sticks.
Turners Arms took the second leg 22-20, but Simmonds's six in the decider was the difference as they won 24-22.
Star remain top after coming away from The Lord Kitchener with a 2-1 victory.
The first two legs were tied 20-20, 23-23 with both teams taking a leg on three sticks.
Star set 25 in the decider, but Kitchener came up four dolls short.
Anchor man Keith Powell was the linchpin for the Star with 14 dolls (5-3-6).
Despite a rare six from Pete Smith, Littlemore Rugby Club were kicked into touch by Kennington Club, losing out 2-1 in Section 4.
They lost the first two legs 13-17, 15-16 before claiming a point in the last leg 22-15.
Six Bell's Jim Clemison rattled off 5-5-3 in their 2-1 win at home to Viking Sports.
They stormed to a 2-0 lead, taking the first two legs 22-17, 25-19, but narrowly lost out on maximum points in the third 21-20.
Martin Wain top scored for Vikings with 11 dolls.
Star B remain unbeaten in Section 7 after coming from behind to defeat Unicorn Inn 2-1. Leg scores were 13-18, 17-8, 14-8. Vince Dodd top scored for Unicorn with ten dolls.
Ray Barson led the way with a dozen dolls (4-3-5) as Red Lion Cassington beat Gladiators 2-1 in Section 10.
This victory puts them one point behind the leaders. They took two legs 13-11, 19-17 but lost the other 17-11.
Top met bottom in Section 12 with leaders Queens Head only just scrapping by 2-1 against Cavalier B.
They shared the first two legs, but Queens then comfortably won the decider 20-5.
