Motorists helped raise vital cash for the Oxford Children's Hospital Campaign.
Members of the Rotary Club of Oxford Isis spent a day shaking buckets at drivers who had stopped at the Oxford service are on the M40 near Wheatley.
They collected £785.91, which they have boosted with more money from their coffers to add £2,500 to the Chox appeal.
Chairman of the Rotary Club's foundation committee Keith Chapple said: "The children's hospital is obviously a big local cause and there's a lot of interest in the area. But it's also of national importance in many ways because of the specialist services it will offer.
"The main reason we wanted to help was because a number of other Rotarian clubs are all ready involved in collecting money for the project."
