Brian Kealy, a long-standing parish councillor in Kidlington, has died aged 71.
Mr Kealy was one of the longest serving parish councillors in Oxfordshire, having been a member of Gosford and Water Eaton Parish Council for more than 30 years.
He was chairman of the council for a number of years, and had also served as a representative on the Oxford Airport Consultative Committee.
He was also a former chairman of the Kidlington Recreational Trust.
Mr Kealy, who had been suffering from cancer for some time, died on May 8. His funeral takes place at St Mary's Church, Kidlington, at 2pm on Monday.
Carl Smith, clerk to Gosford and Water Eaton Parish Pouncil, said: "Brian was an excellent councillor who did a lot of good work for the community. We will all miss him."
