Technical safety advice on an Internet website could have prevented a helicopter crash at Kidlington airport, according to accident investigators.
Two women were carrying out a simulated hydraulic failure approach and landing at the airport in Langford Lane on October 18, 2004, when it crash-landed, a report released today revealed.
The two passengers an Oxford Aviation Training instructor and her student suffered back injuries when the Eurocopter crashed.
The matter was referred to the Civil Aviation Authority, and an Air Accident Investigation Branch report has found that the pilots had not seen the latest guidance regarding the manoeuvre.
