Sir, This year, Larkmead School, Abingdon, is celebrating its 50th anniversary; it was officially opened on June 8, 1956, by Sir John Cockcroft, although the first 122 students moved into the school in the summer of 1955.
The headmaster, Chris Harris, newly appointed in September 2005, has asked me to organise a reunion for all old students. This will be on Saturday, July 15, and will take the form of a barbeque and disco. Former students, teachers, governors, or other staff interested in attending or helping please contact me.
