Detectives sealed off the towpath alongside the Thames in Oxford early today after a woman said she had been raped.
The woman, who is in her early 20s, contacted police at 2.30am. The towpath near Donnington Bridge, and a nearby wooded area, were taped off by officers who were guarding the crime scene today.
The victim is speaking to detectives and police are appealing for witnesses, or anyone who saw a man and a woman with a pink bicycle in the East Oxford or Donnington Bridge Road areas during the early hours.

A 32-year-old man is in police custody.
