A fundraising event at an Oxford nightclub in memory of Miriam Hyman, a victim of the July 7 bombings, attracted more than 150 people.
The Zodiac in Cowley Road, Oxford, was a favourite nightspot of Miriam known to friends and family as Mim and on Friday it played host to a night of house music called Mimentous!
Since the 32-year-old was killed in July, when the number 30 bus she was travelling on was blown up in Tavistock Square, London, her family have set up a memorial fund which has already topped £30,000.
Her sister Esther, who lives in Cowley Road, said Friday's event at the club where Miriam spent her last New Year's Eve had been a great success.
She said: "Everyone who went had a really good time, that was the main thing, and we raised about £1,200 for the fund. The best thing about it is we created a lot of good memories in honour of my sister."
The Miriam Hyman Memorial Fund was set up to help provide eye care for people in the developing world.
Miss Hyman said she would take a break from fundraising as the anniversary of July 7 approached, but sale of hand-painted silks and scarves would be held in London in September.
