History was made in The Parks on Saturday, when the grandsons of two England all-time greats made centuries.
What's more, Ben Hutton and Nick Compton desecendants of former England captain Sir Len Hutton and the flamboyant Denis Compton respectively shared an opening stand of 192 in the Middlesex second innings against Oxford University CCE.
Hutton scored exactly 100, while Compton went one run better before Middlesex declared on 271-5 in mid-afternoon.
This left Oxford an impossible victory target of 482 in under two hours!
The students finished on 99-4, with Kidlington's Mali Richards, son of another great Sir Viv Richards finishing unbeaten on 39.
Ed Smith made 134 in Middlesex's first innings 395-6 dec.
