Police are offering a £100 reward in the search for youths who slashed the tyres of 22 cars and scratched three of them in north Abingdon.
During last Friday night-Saturday morning, two youths vandalised cars parked in Boxhill Road, Sellwood Road and South Avenue. Police have been making door-to-door inquiries seeking information.
Pc Rachel Hanham said: "We think two youths wearing white hooded tops are responsible, but we would like to hear from anyone who may have information about any suspicious activity in the streets.
"Damage runs into thousands of pounds and is very distressing for the owners of the cars."
One victim, who did not want to be named, said he had four tyres slashed on one vehicle and two on another.
He said: "I and other victims of this senseless vandalism are all very angry.
"It will cost hundreds of pounds each to buy new tyres and repair damage. The community is very upset and appeals to anyone with information to come forward so we can put a stop to this crazy behaviour."
Another couple had tyres slashed on a van and a car parked in the road.
The man said: "It's going to cost us at least £100 to replace the tyres. Some other people suffered worse than us. It's annoying, but there's not much you can do about it. I hope the police catch them."
A woman in Sellwood Road, whose car was ignored by the vandals, said: "I was woken up at about 3.45am. I heard a kicking noise and the sound of air wooshing as if it was coming out of a tyre. I went to investigate, but I could not see anyone."
Anyone with information should call Pc Hanham on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
