Drivers faced diversions early today after a lamp post fell into an Oxford road.
The lamp-post is thought to have been knocked down by a car in Marston Ferry Road last night.
Oxfordshire County Council street lighting administrative assistant Ken Brown said: "Our staff were called out earlier today after a report that a lamp post was on the ground in Marston Ferry Road.
"The lamp post was made safe and Southern Electric were called out to isolate the supply. We expect it to be up and running by tomorrow night."
Marston Ferry Road was later reopened.
