Didcot Town claimed the Hellenic League Premier Division title for the first time for 52 years with a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Bishops Cleeve on Saturday.
Some excellent defending by Didcot, with centre back Danny Campbell in outstanding form, and a goal of real quality from Stuart Beavon gave Town the point they needed to be crowned champions.
Now Stuart Peace's side can look forward to playing in the Southern League next season.
They received the trophy on Monday after celebrating with a 3-1 win over local rivals Abingdon United, watched by a bumper crowd of 600 at the npower Loop Meadow Stadium.
Didcot took the lead in the 34th minute when Beavon combined with Andy Parrott, and Ian Concannon swept the resulting cross home from close range.
It was 2-0 to Didcot on the stroke of half-time. A defensive mix-up let in Beavon, and Parrott scored Didcot's third on the hour, following terrific work by Paul Powell.
United reduced the arrears in the final minute through Nathan Woodley.
Ardley United are through to the league cup final after drawing 1-1 at Tytherington Rocks to go through 3-1 on aggregate.
Defending a 2-0 lead from the first leg, Ardley went ahead in the 80th minute when Phil Martin was brought down and Tom Foley scored from the spot.
