A SPECIAL service to mark the Queen's 80th birthday is being held at Christ Church, Oxford, tomorrow evening.
The cathedral service will be attended by the chairman of the county council, councillor Lesley Legge, and the Lord Lieutenant, Hugo Brunner. It starts at 6pm, is expected to last one hour and will be followed by refreshments. Members of the public are welcome.
One of the readings will be taken by Mrs Jean Barrett, of Fringford, who shares her birth date with the monarch April 21, 1926 and was picked from thousands of hopefuls to attend the Queen's official 80th birthday lunch, at Buckingham Palace, on Wednesday.
Church bells will also be rung all over Oxfordshire tomorrow.
