David Reid is a pain in the neck, a thorough nuisance and thoroughly deserves the weight of the law to descend upon him.
Police have clearly lost patience with this persistent antisocial yob and have successfully applied to magistrates for a far-reaching Abso.
He has been banned for life from Blackbird Leys, Oxford, the first time a lifetime ban has been imposed in the city.
Reid can have no complaints. The police say that he is a drug user, has a reputation for violence, preying on vulnerable people, intimidates shopkeepers and generally causes mayhem in the community.
Officers have been forced to use CS spray on him on at least one occasion.
People living and working at Blackbird Leys will be well rid of this wretched man.
But the question is where will he go now? Will he simply move to another Oxford estate and create similar havoc?
Police say they will be watching him. We suggest that people living elsewhere in the city take a good look at his picture on our front page today, and tell police so that they can keep their eye on him.
Reid is 37 and we are entitled to ask why a man of this supposedly mature age is still behaving as if he were an out-of-control teenager.
No doubt there will be all sorts of sob stories about the reasons for his behaviour the lame excuses defence lawyers love to trot out in court.
Don't shed any tears for him he's a vicious lout who has already had more than enough chances.
