VALE of White Horse Under 14s reigned supreme at the ESFA Isle of Wight Festival.

Despite having an injury-hit squad for their 18th visit to the festival, Vale won all four of their matches to return with a 100 per cent record for only the third time.

They were the only association to boast a perfect record, and they also finished second in the Fair Play award, given for sportsmanship and good behaviour.

Robert Hoskin hit a hat-trick as Vale beat Allerdale 5-2 in their opening match at Plessey Sports, Cowes.

He fired Vale ahead with a deflected shot, but Adan Main soon equalised for Allerdale.

Hoskin restored Vale's lead before the break only for Main to level again.

Vale then struck three times in the last ten minutes.

Matt Clark, an under 13 player, beat two players before curling a shot into the top corner, Jack Longford made it 4-2 and then Hoskin sealed victory by completing his hat-trick.

Vale made it two wins out of two with a 4-1 win over Derby at Ventnor FC the East Midlands side's only defeat.

After falling behind to a Nathan Coxon strike, Vale equalised two minutes before half-time through a Luke Carnell piledriver.

They went on to dominate the second half, with defender Lewis Allen scoring twice from free-kicks and Tom Coates adding a fourth after Niall Hodgkins's header hit a post.

Vale completed a hat-trick of wins with a 2-1 victory over Halesowen & Stourbridge at Seaview.

Halesowen took the lead with a well-taken goal by Joe Pewton.

Hodgkins headed the equaliser on the stroke of half-time, and Adam Bowerman raced clear to lob home the winner in the second half.

Goalkeeper Josh Bourton then made three outstanding saves to preserve Vale's lead.

Vale completed their fabulous four-timer by coming from two goals down to beat Thanet (Kent) 4-2 at Sandown High School.

With a strong wind behind them, Thanet struck twice, but Hodgkin and Robert Hoskin hauled Vale level before half-time.

With the wind at their backs, Vale dominated the second half.

However, it wasn't until five minutes from time that Bowerman fired them ahead.

Hoskin then provided a fitting climax to a successful week with a 25-yard screamer in the last minute.
