Castle Combe's savesometax.co.uk Special GT Championship is undergoing a new lease of life in 2006, with a buoyant registration list and an impressive level of entries to date.
One class where there is an opportunity for competitors to bring out cars which might not fit in elsewhere is Class D for production-based Saloons, Sports and GT cars.
The class is aimed at unmodified genuinely production cars that could easily be returned to road going format. There is no limit to engine capacity as long as it remains true to the original specification, making the class ideal for both old and new supercars such as Ferraris, Porsches and even TVRs.
The circuit believes there are numerous owners of such vehicles who are unaware their car is eligible to complete in the 15-lap, rolling start races.
Potential competitors should contact Steve Burns at the Castle Combe Racing Club, on SteveB@CastleCombeCircuit.co.uk or call 01249 783139.
