Oxford were crowned Inter-league champions after beating Chipping Norton in the final of a hard-fought competitoon at Banbury Foods.
The Oxford team of Kevin Baker, Andy Beal, Philip Adams, Tommy Recht, Willy Waite, Kevin Giles, Pip Goulding and Phil Wilkins, first just got the better of a strong Banbury side 2-1.
Oxford took the first leg 28-27, but lost the second 24-30.
In the decider, Oxford went to town with a massive set of 34, which Banbury were unable to match.
Against Bampton in the semi-final, Oxford took opening leg 30-28.
Bampton responded well, wining the second leg 28-26 and setting the final leg with 27.
Oxford just scraped through taking the leg and match by the odd doll.
In the final, Oxford edged a low-scorng first leg against Chipping Norton 23-22.
They set a formidable score of 31 in the next leg which proved out of Chippy's reach.
