Planning permission has finally been granted for a controversial north Oxford housing development.
In January, city councillors criticised a developer for flouting planning conditions when it built a development of flats and houses in King's Cross Road, Summertown, after neighbours complained about the development by Thomas Homes.
They said the company changed its original design, increased the size of the block of flats, and a barn conversion was made into two houses.
People buying the homes were forced to wait months before they could move in, but councillors at Oxford City Council's north area committee on Thursday agreed that retrospective planning permission should now be granted.
Liberal Democrat city councillor Jean Fooks said: "This time, councillors agreed that the development should be given retrospective planning permission.
"As a result, the developers have withdrawn their appeal against the decision councillors made last time to refuse retrospective planning permission."
