A CENTURY by Simon Hole led Shipton-under-Wychwood to a mammoth score at home to Buckingham on Saturday.
Hole hit a fine 113, and shared a second-wicket stand of 209 with Paul
Hemming (86).
Then Jason Constable rounded off the innings with 62 in 28 minutes as
Shipton finished on 325-9. Chris Harris deserves credit for keeping going
with the ball, taking 6-75.
Buckingham, who had decided to bat second, were 159-9 in the 41st over.
But a valiant last-wicket partnership of 40 took them within eight balls of
securing a draw before Shipton seamer Ian Lewis secured a 126-run victory
for his side.
To make matters worse for Buckingham, they lost one point for a slow over
rate.

Mohson Rana hit an unbeaten 125 to steer Oxford 2nd side to their first win
in the top flight at the expense of Banbury Twenty.
In another high-scoring match, Rana received valuable support from Francois
Vainker (58) as Oxford sneaked home by two wickets despite some steady
bowling by Steve Hart (3-75) and Martin Thomas (3-73).
Earlier, Richard Hawkins finished on 112 not out as Twenty, who chose to
bat, made 256-6. Dharhendra Patel took 3-33.
Twenty lost three points and Oxford two for their slow over rates.

An opening partnership of 104 between Australian Mark Ellison (68) and
veteran Glyn Lumb (39) laid the foundation for Challow & Childrey's 57-run
win at Bourton Vale.
Challow were all out in the final over for 207, with the host club's Joe
Jenkins taking 5-56.
James Winstanley (59) gave Vale hope in reply, but wickets kept tumbling and
they were dismissed in the 42nd over for 150.

Opener Martin Shepherd's 105 for Kingston Bagpuize proved to be in vain as
his side, who made 220-8, came off second best at home to Kidlington.
Kidlington were always in control thanks to Andy Buckingham (76) and
wicket-keeper batsman Shazad Rana (59no), and a seven-wicket victory was
theirs in the 47th over.
Kidlington lost one point for failing to bowl their overs inside three
hours, which cost them a share of top spot.

Paul Atkins (79) helped Dinton to 102-3 after 37 overs, but Milton Keynes
Park restricted their visitors to 180-9.
Nick Packard (4-57) and captain Graham Simpson (4-60) both bowled well.
Park were in trouble at 117-6 with nine overs remaining, but Ghufran
Mohammed smashed 43 from 28 balls as victory was achieved without further
loss.
