CHALLOW & Childrey's latest Australian import Mark Ellison made an instant impact, crashing two sixes and 17 fours in a 79-ball 117 not out as his side crushed Oxford 2nd on Saturday. The newly-promoted side had struggled to 182-9 from their 50 overs, with only new boy John Williams (62) showing any early season form. Lee Stevens was the pick of the Challow bowlers with 3-34.

Another Australian to shine was Kidlington's Ross Lupton, who took a hat-trick in his 6-77 against Banbury Twenty. Earlier, he had contributed an unbeaten 30 in the home side's 279-4 dec, which also featured 77 from Andrew Buckingham, 66 from Marli Richards and 51 from Lee James. Dave Burbidge (84) gave Twenty a bright start in reply, before Lupton blew them away for 194.

Bourton Vale proved too strong for Kingston Bagpuize, whose Division 1 debut ended in a heavy defeat. After choosing to bat, the Baggies crawled to 125 all out from 45 overs, with only Alex Pike (30) looking the part.
Following an early scare, Alex Fateh took control for Vale with an unbeaten 74 in their 126-3.

Title favourites Shipton-under-Wychwood scraped home by one wicket in a tense finish against Milton Keynes Park. In a game that featured four brief rain delays, Shipton were in control after Jason Constable (5-44) rolled over the visitors for just 136. Paul Strong top-scored with 55.
Shipton skipper Steve Bates hit 56 in reply, but Park's Ghufran Mohammed bowled throughout to take 5-62, reducing the hosts to 122-9. Last-wicket pair Nick Goacher and Chris Brain scraped together the winning runs with three overs to spare.

Rob Large's 103 for Buckingham Town proved to be in vain as his side slipped to a three-wicket defeat at Dinton. Town reached 217-7 thanks to Large's effort, but Paul Atkins hit 96 and John Purcell 43 for the home side, who closed the game out on 221-7.
