AN unbeaten 108 from James Davis and 67 from Chris Jones allowed Oxford 3rd to declare on a formidable 257-4 after being asked to bat by Abingdon Vale 2nd.
But their confidence was misplaced as Phil Evans (71), Joe Kettle (67) and
no fewer than 70 extras saw Vale collect a five-wicket win.
Adam Leach took 4-58, but elsewhere Oxford did themselves no favours in the field.

Bledlow Ridge 2nd amassed 238-5 away to Banbury 3rd, but still found
themselves well beaten by a four-wicket margin.
John Rolfe hit 75 and Dave Bird 45 not out to set up a reasonable platform
for Ridge.
But then Julian Briggs (45), Ed Phillips (44) and Alistair Jarvis (50no)
took Banbury to 239-6.
Kai McFarlane was the pick of the Ridge bowlers with 4-60.

John Edgington (58) was the mainstay of Great & Little Tew 2nd's 154 all out
at home to Kidlington 2nd.
But the visitors made light work of the reply despite losing five wickets.

Gary Porter's 3-10 and 54 runs proved the difference as Thame Town 2nd
overcame Wolverton Town 2nd by three wickets.
