Shipton-under-Wychwood, who appeared to have the game won after a devastating spell from Chris Panter, were left hanging on for a draw at Buckingham on Saturday. After half-an-hour, Buckinghanm were staring defeat in the face, when reduced to 14-5 by Panter (4-27), who was virtually unplayable.
However, James Gear hit 89 not out at quicker than a run a ball, while Graham Judd took rather more time over a patient 57.
The pair added 114 runs for the seventh wicket to help Buckingham to 209-7.
Shipton looked on course for victory until Gear took three wickets in an over and, despite Panter's 38, they were left clinging on at 203-9.

Glyn Lumb's hit 116 for Challow & Childrey as his side thrashed Bourton Vale by 115 runs. Challow, choosing to bat first, racked up 242-8, and then took a wicket with the first ball of Vale's reply. The visitors slumped to 25-5 and it was left to Joe Jenkins, who earlier took 3-51, to score 64 to give the score some respectability before they were all out for 127.

Kidlington seamers Ross Lupton (6-43) and Mali Richards (4-18) ran through Kingston Bagpuize's hapless batting line up with ease. Bagpuize were grateful that Rob Keates scored 44 so they could post 116 all out. Nawaz Ali (43no) and Richards (40no) then took the leaders to 120-1 and maximum points.

Mickey Thomas returned remarkable figures of 3-16 from 16 overs as Banbury Twenty restricted Oxford 2nd to just 94-8 in a rain-affected match. An early shower reduced the game to 45-overs-a-side, but Twenty failed to use two of theirs in being dismissed for 181. Dave Clark top-scored with 34, while Thomas hit useful 33 not out at the end as Twenty recoveredfrom 130-7. Oxford had 47 overs to attempt the chase, but their failure to get Thomas away meant they settled for a draw.

Honours were shared in the rain-affected match between Dinton and Milton Keynes Park.Dinton made 148 all out in their 40 overs, while Milton Keynes replied with125-8 from 38.
