Three wickets for Gary Porter and a hat-trick of run outs saw Banbury 3rd rolled over for 121 in their top-of-the-table tussle with Thame 2nd. Steve Beard (55) and Steve Chown (51no) ensured there were no alarms as leaders Thame pulled off a crucial and crushing nine-wicket win over their title rivals.

South African Charles Smook hit 113 and Alec Inns 81 as Abingdon Vale notched an apparently unbeatable 293-8 at Kidlington 2nd. But the home side had other ideas. Eddie Willmot struck 114 not out and stand-in skipper Neil Woolerton smashed two sixes and 15 fours in a vital 85 as Kidlington pulled off an unlikely five-wicket win.

Great & Little Tew 2nd's four-wicket win at Oxford 3rd was similarly imp- ressive. Jahan Mohammed hit 53 and Justin Parker took 4-70 in Oxford's 240-8. Then Tony Oliver, Parker and Steve Wilson all hit half-centuries as Tew reached 241-6 inside 47 overs.

Trevor Simms (4-21) and Simon Smith (4-83) bowled well for Sandford St Martin 2nd against Wolverton Town 2nd. But Ayaz Hussain (63) and Tony Baker (78) took Town to 217-9. Smith (68) and Steve Cox (41) gave Sandford a chance, but Glen Dickinson took 6-61 to bowl them out for 182.

Kimble 2nd's 179-9 looked respectable enough, but Bledlow Ridge 2nd's openers scored at will in reaching 182 without loss in 21.2 overs.
