The visitors' decision to bat first was vindicated when Michael Parker hit an unbeaten 101, although Tim Chamberlain took 5-62. Henley's slow over-rate was to cost them two points. Cropredy's star all-rounder Syed Zaidi took 7-36 and then hit an unbeaten 47 to take his side to a seven-wicket win at Morris Motors Exiles. Zaidi's efforts reduced the Exiles to 138 all out, and with the help of Pete Cooling (40), he saw his side home inside 30 overs.
