Sir Spring is in the air and anyone who drives along Marston Ferry Road is sure to notice and presumably feel cheered by the masses of daffodils emerging along the bank which seperates the road from the cycle track.
But if you cycle this way, perhaps to avoid the crocodile of half-empty buses along High Street, don't expect to see a message of spring on your side of the divide. If you fancy a bit of colour too and why shouldn't your responsible choice of transport be rewarded you will just have to imagine the daffodils on the other side, as they bob like wind-whipped slaves in salute of a carbon-exhaling motorcade.
