OXFORD Downs 2nd extended their lead at the top after an easy eight-wicket win at home to Aston Rowant 2nd. Steve Roberts took 6-34 as Rowant were bowled out for 136, before Tim Crouch hit an unbeaten 75 as Downs took the points with more than seven overs in hand.

Bledlow Village lost ground despite racking up 269-7 at home to Shipton-under-Wychwood 2nd. Adam Mould (67), Steve Williams (53), Darren Holland (49) and Matt Bolton (46) all batted well. Bledlow kept the game open in a bid to pick up the win, but Ian Lewis made 74, Jerry Senior 46 not out, Ollie Dunk 46, and Bill Bowman 42 as Shipton reached 270-7 from the third ball of the final over.

Stanton St John Willows stay in trouble after losing by five wickets to Chearsley. Richard Williams hit 48 not out while Adam Warr took 5-51 in Willows' 171-9, which never looked enough once Neil Davies (61) got going.

Ten-man Banbury Twenty 2nd were indebted to Duncan Mitchell's 68 not out as they struggled to 150-7 at Stokenchurch. Peter Langford (76) then laid the platform for the home side's winning 153-3, achieved inside 35 overs.

Andrew Brown hit 54 not out as Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts 2nd eased past Tiddington 2nd's 169-8 for the loss of just three wickets.
