Leaders romp to five-wicket win SAJID Hussain and Ross Lupton claimed five wickets each as as Kidlington overwhelmed Shipton-under-Wychwood to move closer to their first Cherwell League title. Only a spirited unbeaten 72 from opener Christian Brain, playing in only his second first team match, stood in their way as Shipton were dismissed for 142. Hussain captured 5-33, while Lupton took 5-64. Mali Richards (51) and Shahbaz Ali (41) scored the bulk of the runs as Kidlington eased home for the loss of five wickets inside 37 overs.

Another team heading for their highest ever finish are Challow & Childrey, who pulled off an impressive seven-wicket win away to third-placed Milton Keynes Park.
A 133 partnership between Aussie Mark Ellison (91) and veteran Glynn Lumb (44) proved decisive as Challow easily passed the 168-9 set to win. Earlier David Slade took 4-33 and Ghufran Mohammed hit 50 in Park's innings.

Kingston Bagpuize look doomed to relegation after they suffered their eleventh defeat of the season, this time at the hands of Dinton. Bagpuize gambled by choosing to field first, but were helpless to stop Paul Atkins accumulating 122 not out. The visitors took a chance of their own by declaring one over early on 222-7. The extra over proved unnecessary as Nathan Brooks took 7-54, including the final wicket, with eight balls of the match remaining.

Banbury Twenty are not safe yet, but they took a step towards securing their Division 1 status by holding off Buckingham Town. Twenty amassed 282-7 thanks to Richard Hawkins (55), Dave Clark (52) and Michael Thomas (46). Rob Large made 51 as Buckingham replied with 231-6.

Bourton Vale climbed out of the likely drop zone after beating Oxford 2nd by 66 runs. James Winstanley hit 55, while Dom Patel (5-40) and Francois Vainker (4-67) bowled well in Vale's 196-9. Winstanley, Rob Pike and Joe Jenkins then each took three wickets as Oxford then succumbed for just 130.
