Henley 2nd confirmed their promotion to Division 2 by beating Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts but will have to win again next week to clinch the title. Put into bat Henley managed 202-8, thanks to Andy White's 67. Nondies were bowled out for 187, despite Steve Schofield's 51. Andy Johnson took 5-64 and Rob Willis 4-45

Leighton Buzzard Town can also look forward to life in Division 2 after their spinners bowled them to a 23-run win over Kimble. Phil Whatmore (54) and Kirk Brazier (42) took Town to 184 against Bob Whitehead (5-69) and Ali Russel (4-77). Lee Griffiths top-scored with 44 for Kimble, but Anthony Francis (4-26) and Lee Selfe (3-36) proved just too good.

Aylesbury Town gave themselves a chance of staying up by thrashing Bicester & North Oxford 2nd. Simon Kempster took 6-22 as Bicester were rolled over for 80, which Aylesbury surpassed for the loss of two wickets.

Dinton 2nd are still in trouble, despite giving Morris Motors Exiles a pasting. Exiles struggled to 115 all out, which Dinton passed with 116-2, thanks to Rob King (66no).

Hanborough's 14-year-old debutant Craig Wood took 3-25 including the vital final wicket to seal a 56-run win over Cropredy. Earlier, Matthew Busby had hit 49 in Hanborough's 221. Paul Rose then took 5-39, but the game seemed set for a draw until Wood intervened.
