May I, through your column, please extend my grateful thanks to all those who came to my aid on Tuesday, December 13, when my sister was taken ill in a restaurant in Oxford.
A lady at the next table used her mobile phone to call the ambulance.
Unfortunately, she left while we were tending to my sister, so I didn't get her name. I believe she was from the Wantage or Bampton area.
Maria and her ambulance team were very quick and were quite wonderful.
They took my sister to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, where the staff there couldn't really be faulted in any way and the A&E was quite spotless.
There is a lot of kindness out there.
