FA Vase - Blackfield & Langley 4, Abingdon Town 5: Abingdon Town gave new boss Keith Stopps the perfect start by coming from behind to beat Wessex League Division 2 side Blackfield & Langley in a nine-goal thrller.

Town trailed 2-0, 3-1 and 4-3 in Saturday's second qualifying round tie, but stormed back for a memorable win after ten days or torment for the Hellenic League club following the sacking of manager Kevin Lloyd.

Abingdon went 2-0 behind inside 23 minutes to goals from Danny Homer and Danny Mockridge.

The visitors hit back when Paul Jezzard nipped in to score from a rebound. But almost immediately, Ben Homer lashed home to put Blackfield 3-1 ahead.

However, by half-time Town were level.

Tom Larman lobbed home from just outside the box and then Jezzard rolled in a shot that took an age to cross the goalline to make it 3-3

Town fell behind again after 47 minutes when Rob Morant slammed home for the hosts.

However, incredibly, just two minutes later Town were level again when they were awarded a free-kick 25 yards out. Ross Tyler rolled the ball sideways for Craig Antcliffe to fire home a splendid equaliser.

Abingdon then took hold of the game and went ahead for the first time on 75 minutes.

Larman broke the offside trap down the right and took the ball deep into the penalty area before firing home a memorable winner.

Abingdon United 4, Sandhurst Town 1: Two goals just before half-time ensured Abingdon United a comfortable passage into the next round.

They took the lead in the 22nd minute when Anaclet Odhiambo ran 25 yards and smacked the ball past the advancing keeper.

Sandhurst equalised when a lob forward fell kindly for Anderson who hit the ball into the empty net.

Seven minutes before half-time, Odhiambo slipped the ball perfectly into the run of Michaes Herbert who fired home.

Three minutes later, Chris Hooper chested down a ball from Odhiambo and volleyed the chance wide of the keeper to make it 3-1.

After half-time, the home side knew another goal would kill the game and it came courtesy of Richard Peirson with a 30-yard free-kick.

Budleigh Salterton 0, Witney United 6: Lee Keyes fired home a hat-trick as Witney United cruised into the next round.

The dismissal of a Budleigh Salterton player just after half-time for throwing the ball in Toby Clark's face turned this tie in Witney's favour.

At the time, Witney were leading 1-0 thanks to a dubious 33rd-minute penalty, which Keyes converted.

With an extra man, Witney took charge and a pass by John McMahon released Keyes who clamly lobbed in Witney's second.

After 75 minutes, Jamie Cook and Tom Butler set up Keyes for his hat-trick.

Cook and Butler added goals to make it 5-0 before John McMahon completed a scoreline that looked unlikely at half-time.

Wantage Town 3, Ringmer 2: Adam Giles looped the ball over the head of Ringmer's giant keeper Ross Standen in the 89th minute to give Wantage Town a deserved win against their strong Sussex League opponents in a pulsating tie.

Wantage's reshaped defence was caught out in the fourth minute when Clint Moore burst through unchallenged and easily lobbed home.

The home side equalised in the 29th minute when Giles drove in low and hard past Standen, who was then beaten by a shot from Paul Day.

In the second half, Wantage had strong claims for a penalty turned down, and their mood worsened when Dominic Shepherd made it 2-2 eight minutes from time.

But then Giles's mis-hit shot beat Standen to seal a memorable win.

North Leigh 2, Horley Town 0: Two goals in the opening ten minutes ensured a safe passage to the next round as North Leigh overcame the challenge of Combined Counties League side Horley Town at Eynsham Park.

The visitors, from Sussex, went behind after three minutes when Justin Miller's precise low cross was met first time by Liam Hope who found the bottom corner of the net from ten yards.

The lead was increased after ten minutes when a rash challenge saw Andy McCabe felled in the box.

Although visiting keeper Luke Burton got a hand to Simon Futcher's spot-kick, he could only help the ball into the bottom corner.

In the second half, it needed two timely interceptions and a crucial tackle from Darren Maisey to thwart Horley's comeback.

Leigh keeper Richard Barrett produced a fine save near the end to preserve their advantage.

Bicester Town 2, Buckingham Town 0: Two goals from Bicester striker Gary Wickens - one at either end of the game - settled the tie against their near neighbours.

The first came from a penalty after nine minutes, while the second in the dying minutes after excellent work from midfielder Lee Harris

Bicester produced an excellent defensive performance to protect their lead.

Epsom & Ewell 3, Milton Utd 0: A leg injury to keeper Milton keeper Gareth Walker turned this tie in favour of the Ryman League hosts.

Epsom took advantage of Walker's incapacity, to score through Dave Marvel and Luke Guy in the two minutes that remained before half-time.

Having received further treatment to his leg during the interval, Walker looked more comfortable, though he could not take goalkicks.

Milton rallied and when Adam Greenway was brought down in the box after 70 minutes, they had a chance to het back into the game.

However Rob Powell's ensuing penalty was saved by Epsom keeper Alex Moore.

Lee Purvis sealed the result with a late goal, while Milton have now gone 270 minutes without scoring.
