Witney & District FA: Mark Thomas smashed a four-timer as FC Nomads edged past Premier Division rivals Aston 4-3, writes ANTHONY BARLOW.

Thomas put Nomads in control, as he hit a superb five-minute hat-trick, before adding a fourth late in the game.

Aston's goalscorers were Phil Caswell (2) and Neil Fudge.

Freeland made it three wins out of three as they cruised to a 6-2 victory over local rivals Hanborough.

They raced to a 4-0 half-time lead with Craig Simpson's free kick the pick of the bunch.

Hanborough hit back in the second half through Craig Warmington and Lee Williams, but Freeland's lead was too great. Joe Crocker, Dale Kardos, Stuart Hole, Tom Mason and Nathan Langford were also on target.

Ducklington also maintained their 100 per cent record with a 1-0 win over West Witney, Chris Palmer's strike enough to seal the points.

Reigning champions Carterton slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Hailey.

A second-half strike from Sean Evans secured the points.

A Mike Haines goal in the second half, gave Brize Norton a 1-0 win over Minster Lovell.

Martin Grimsley (2) and Mark Dorey were on target as Charlbury beat Milton 3-2.

David Jeynes and David Simmonds hit back for Milton.

Spartan Rangers stayed top of the table after a 4-1 victory over Witney Royals in Division 1.

Dave Cross hit a brace, with Paul Saunders and Jason King adding to Rangers' tally. Russell Plumb netted for Royals.

There was also a 4-1 win for West Witney Res as they saw off Kingham AB.

Matt Townsend led the way with a double, with Ryhan Clarke also among the scorers.

Simon Barratt replied for Kingham.

Carterton Res hammered Ducklington Res 5-1, with goals from Tom Fletcher (2), Tom Perry, Jon Smales and Mike Duerden.

Gareth Smith bagged Ducklington's consolation.

North Leigh B got off the mark with a 3-0 victory over Hanborough Res.

Matt Gorman bagged a brace, with Lee Moseley grabbing No 3.

FC Mills looked set to take all three points after Pete Claridge put them ahead against Brize Norton Res.

But a late Steve Marshall goal earned Brize a share of the spoils.

Fieldtown edged out Eynsham A 2-1.

Shaun Burgess netted for Eynsham, but Ricardo DeFazio's earlier double gave Fieldtown the points.

Carterton A demolished Division 2 rivals Burford United 10-3, coming from 3-2 down at half-time to net eight times after the break.

Gavin Smith, Scott Walters and Darren Colclough each grabbed a brace, with Lee Wainwright, Richard Baker, Craig Truman and Olly Bush also finding the net.

Simon Gibbs and Matt Hubbard were among the Burford scorers.

At the top, Bampton Town made it three wins out of three with a 3-0 victory over FC Nomads Res.

Paul Sheppard and Chris Jordan plus an own goal sealed the points for Bampton.

Real Islip thrashed Minster Lovell Res 4-0, with all the goals coming in the second half.

Alex Coleman (2) led the way for Islip, while Phil Stokes and Steve Simmonds scorea a goal apiece.

An Adam Rackham strike was enough to give Cassington the points as they saw off AC Finstock 1-0.

Stuart Morrison scored both goals for Hailey Res as they saw off Milton Res 2-0, while a close fought match between Tackley and Wootton saw the latter run out 4-3 winners.

Chris Betreen's brace and strikes from Greg Finnemore and Paul Broome secured the points.

Lee Grant, Russell Brazier and Chris Dowell scored Wootton's consolations.

In Division 3, Jon Snell hammered a hat-trick as Combe beat Aston Res 4-1.

Tom Sharp was Combe's other marksman.
