Southern League - Thame United hit rock bottom again in Southern League Division 1 West after crashing to a 4-1 defeat against basement club Beaconsfield SYCOB at Aylesbury United.
Goalkeeper Paul Searl picked up an injury in midweek, and it clearly affected his performance.
He conceded the first goal came after 11 minutes when Beaconsfield defender Kieron Gradwell pounced on a defensive error, following a corner, to scramble the ball home.
Beaconsfield's second goal came in the 29th minute after another goalmouth scramble following an uncleared corner, Roy Gumbs getting the final touch.
Three minutes later, Thame fell further behind when Allan Arthur headed in a cross from the right.
Thame pulled a goal back in the 73rd minute when the ball was knocked back in to Kevin Franklin following a corner, and he headed on to substitute Darren Moore, who nodded home from close range.
But their joy was short-lived as Beaconsfield grabbed as fourth goal a minute later, Arthur netting his second after yet another goalmouth scramble.
Thame Utd: Searl, Lane, Joyce, Blake, Hocking, N Stewart (Franklin, Groves), Ferreira, Fisher, Spencer, A Stewart (Moore), Boland. Subs not used: Bradley, Landsdown.
