A series of road accidents across Oxfordshire at the weekend left a number of motorists with life-threatening injuries.

Paramedics were called to an incident in London Road, Headington, Oxford, at 3.40pm on Saturday following a collision between a car and a motorbike.
The motorcyclist was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital with what paramedics suspected were life-threatening injuries, following the accident at the junction of Windmill Road and London Road.
The junction was closed after the incident but reopened later in the evening.
A police spokesman said last night that the motorcyclist's injuries had not been as serious as first thought and that he was recovering well.
In Banbury, four people were injured following a crash between a Peugeot 406 minicab and a Ford Mondeo.
The accident happened during the early hours yesterday at the junction of Gatridge Street and Britannia Road.
The four victims were taken to The Horton Hospital after the smash, which happened at about 1.50am. One woman was seriously injured.
Police said last night that she was in a critical condition, but Oxfordshire Ambulance Service was unable to provide details of all the victims' injuries.
Four ambulance crews were called, while three fire crews used cutting gear to free the occupants of the vehicles.
Police officers closed the road while emergency crews dealt with the accident.
The driver of an Oxford Bus Company vehicle needed hospital treatment for whiplash injuries following a crash with a lorry near the Abingdon Road roundabout on Saturday.
Paramedics put the driver in a neck brace and took him to the John Radcliffe Hospital where last night he was being kept under observation for neck injuries.
The front windscreen of the X3, which was travelling to Abingdon, was badly damaged in the crash at 9am and eight passengers were transferred to another bus. None was injured.
Phil Ashworth, a spokesman for the Oxford Bus Company, said: "The driver is being kept in hospital with neck injuries, but they're not life-threatening.
"Passengers were transferred to another X3 as soon as possible and we started our usual routine inquiries."
A woman was flown by air ambulance to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford after a crash on the A361 near Filkins, in west Oxfordshire, yesterday.
The woman's car was involved in a collision with another car before fire and ambulance crews were called at about 1pm. Neither driver was thought to have life-threatening injuries.
