Lucy Brown produced a sensational performance to win the Nike Junior Tennis National Masters final in London.
The 12-year-old, from Elsfield, Oxford, qualified for the tournament by winning the Scottish Junior Championships in Edinburgh, along with her 14-year-old brother, Harry.
But it was not to be a memorable family double, as Harry put up a brave display before losing in the semi-final of the boys under 14 event.
However, for Lucy, it was a victory to remember in a high-profile event.
She now goes to Nice in the south of France for the International Masters Finals later this year, to compete against the best players in the world.
As well as that all expenses paid trip, Lucy also won a £250 voucher to spend in Nike Town, London, and a 2006 racket contract with Babolat for her efforts.
The Esporta member easily came through her first round match, beating Safiyyah Azeez 6-0, 6-1.
Things got no more difficult in the semi-final, Lucy cruising to victory over Sabrina Bamburec by the same score.
However, she was forced to battle to claim the title, eventually overcoming Joanna Leigh 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.
Harry beat Paul Calvert 6-1, 6-0 in his first match, before bowing out 6-4, 6-1 to eventual winner Daniel Regan.
Former winners of the event include Rafael Nadal and Carlos Moya.
MICHAEL Watkins was part of a team from Halton Tennis Academy that flew over to Sweden at the weekend for a friendly tourn- ament.
The Abingdon youngster won five out his six matches against boys between two and three years older than himself.
