Royal Mail in Oxford has given its stamp of approval to a new creative learning package for schools in the county.
The postal company has given funding to an Oxford Inspires project, which has also been backed by Oxfordshire County Council.
The cultural development agency for the county has produced more than 600 educational packs for pupils and teachers.
These contain worksheets which have been developed in partnership with some of the county's best-known cultural groups.
Many of the activities in the packs are based on the Evolving City programme, a year of cultural events, projects and festivals which explore the city.
Rachel Martin, Oxford Inspires Evolving City coordinator, will officially launch the scheme at the county council's Imagine conference on Tuesday at the Oxford University Museum of Natural History, Parks Road.
She said: "We are very grateful for the support of the Royal Mail, which has enabled the creation of this innovative teaching resource.
"We hope it will stimulate teachers and pupils to think about culture and its role in the life of Oxfordshire."
Matthew Lawlor, Royal Mail area general manager, said: "We felt that what Oxford Inspires was trying to do with this education pack had great merit and we are very pleased we have been able to help. Promoting and developing a wider understanding of the wonderfully diverse nature of our community is having a huge positive impact within our business. We believe this project will help extend the involvement of schools with the cultural life of the county."
