GLS Football Hellenic League - Purton 0, Headington Amateurs 1: Defender Chris Baker showed his teammates how to find the net as Headington returned to winning ways in a hard-fought Division 1 West clash.

Tom and Ben Baldwin, who were a constant threat, were repeatedly denied by the Purton defence.

So it was left to centre-back Baker to score the only goal after 33 minutes, when heading home Matty Crook's cross.

The second period saw Purton mount a wave of attacks, but Headington's defence held firm.

Old Woodstock Town 3, Pewsey Vale 1: A spectacular goal from Nick Neal helped Woodstock to come from behind and claim all three points.

Pewsey Vale took the lead in the 48th minute, but Steve Eyris equalised seven minutes later.

Neal then turned the game withn his stunning goal in which he beat six defenders before firing home.

Just for good measure, he added his second to seal the victory just before the end.

Ross Town 0, Letcombe 1: A piece of individual magic from Richard Claydon won the game for Letcombe in the second half.

Claydon went round three defenders in the opposition penalty area before sliding the ball home to secure three hard-earned points.

With three defenders missing, including joint player-managers Matt Goddard and Liam Breen, Letcombe promoted young Tom Broad from the reserves and gave Tom Patten his first outing of the season.

Secretary Des Williams took on the role of manager.

Clanfield 1, Cheltenham Saracens 1: The game got off to an explosive start when visiting striker Ross Constantine was yellow-carded for a late tackle on Clanfield's Richard Mace after just 50 seconds.

Cheltenham took the lead in the 20th minute when Marcus Finch scored following a free-kick.

Clanfield's James Bruce had a clear run to goal, but was brought down, which cost Cheltenham another yellow card.

Debutant Danny Harding made two good saves for Clanfield before, in the 81st minute, Bruce headed over the advancing Ryan Betteridge to secure a deserved point.

Hook Norton 0, Wootton Bassett 2: The visitors took the lead 30 seconds before half-time when Moses Greene, robbed the normally accomplished Garnet Thomas and crossed for Steve Tucker to score.

The second half saw Hooky have more of the ball, especially with some promising right wing forays by sub Gary Wilson.

But very little happened for them in the last third of the pitch

The Wiltshire side added a late secondb through sub Mark King.

Bicester Town 1, Hounslow Borough 0: Bicester had to wait until five minutes from time before snatching victory in this Division 1 East clash.

Four chances went begging for Bicester, before substitute Johnny Moore provided a first-time cross for striker Steve Miles to collect and slot past the visiting keeper.
