Todd Parker-Hunt got the other, while there was another shock as defending champions Highfield crashed 4-2 against Rover Blackbird.

Leaders Cold Arbour kept up their 100 per cent record, with a 4-1 success at Oxford Exiles.

Star Wanderers saw off visitors Mansfield Road in a 2-1 victory.

Star took the lead midway through the first period when John Crump fired home after Jamie Hodges's shot came back off the crossbar.

Five minutes before the break Star doubled their advantage when a superb free-kick from Crump was met with a thumping header from Hodges.

Although Mansfield rallied after pulling a goal back 15 minutes into the second half through Duncan McIntyre, Star's defence held firm.

In Division 1, Marston Village made it two wins out of two as they overcame Cowley OMH 2-1 in a bad-tempered game at Pressed Steel.

In a repeat of their previous meeting, Marston had to battle from a goal down after Cowley took the lead midway through the first half.

Marston soon levelled when a good cross from Leigh Venner was headed down by Dan Normington into the path of Paul Cooper, who coolly slotted home.

In the second half, Marston took control, with a delightful lob from Cooper proving to be the winner.

Luke Cuff hammered a hat-trick as Oxford Black Boy got back on track with an 8-1 win over visitors Jack Marston.

Among the other scorers were Kernan Durrant and Shaun Jacobs who bagged a brace each.

Jamie DeBanks was on song as he scored the winner for Barton United against Northway.

Debanks beat the offside trap midway through the second period, lobbed the keeper and although his effort hit the crossbar, he headed home the rebound off the crossbar.
