FA Cup - Slough Town 4, Oxford City 1: Oxford City suffered their first defeat of the season as they crashed out at Slough Town.
Although they were well beaten at the finish, Andy Lyne's side held their own in the first half and Slough were somewhat flattered by their margin of victory.
City, of the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division, fell behind after six minutes when Glen Harris raced on to a long clearance from keeper Michael Parkin and lashed the ball in.
But City, who sprang a shock in the previous round when beating Newport (IoW), were level within a minute.
Dominic Green dispatched the ball forward to Ray Spence, who outwitted the Slough defence to shoot home.
Slough, from the Ryman League Premier Division, hit back and Ian Hodges glanced a header just wide from Matt Seedel's cross
Danny Keen then shot straight at the keeper for City from Spence's centre.
City lost Green at half-time due to injury, with Omar Takriti taking his place.
In the second period, Slough took control and former Oxford United reserve Josias Carbon scored from an acute angle in the 55th minute.
Spence crashed a shot against the underside of the bar, before Michael Alexis - another ex-Oxford United reserve - made it three for the home side in the 75th minute from Carbon's cross.
Carbon added his second six minutes from time when he burst through to score.
