GLS Football Hellenic League - Ardley United 0, Witney United 1: Former Oxford United forward Jamie Cook scored a spectacular goal on his debut to secure Witney a narrow Premier Diviison victory at Ardley on Saturday.
Cook, 26, who scored seven goals in 91 first-team appearances for Oxford before joining Boston United, signed for Witney last week after a meeting with assistant manager Spencer Keyes.
It proved to be an astute signing, as he scored the winning goal after 31 minutes.
A quick throw-out by Sean Purcell found Cook who ran fully 70 yards, evading two wild challenges before calmly curling the ball beyond Paul Tassell into the Ardley net.
Lee Keyes went close to adding another for the dominant Witney team.
Ardley came closest when Chris Johnson's free kick was diverted on to the bar by Purcell.
Slimbridge 3, Wantage Town 4: Neither defence covered itself with glory in the first 25 minutes, at the end of which Wantage led 3-2.
Tom Austin and Gavin Jones twice gave Wantage the lead, only for Slimbridge's Colwall to equalise each time, the first from a penalty conceded by Lee Davies.
Paul Day's brilliant glancing header restored Wantage's lead in the 25th minute.
Jones made it 4-2 in the 51st minute, and their more alert defence did not concede another goal until an injury time penalty from Colwall, who completed his hat-trick.
Milton United 1, North Leigh 2: Goals from Liam Hope and Justin Miller made it five wins from five games for leaders North Leigh against a determined Milton side.
Indeed, Milton became the first side to beat the mean Leigh defence this season as skipper Gary Hartley headed home an equaliser just after the interval.
North Leigh keeper Rich Barrett, was thus beaten for the first time in 407 minutes.
From a superb cross by substitute Simon Futcher, Miller netted the winning goal with a neat shot on the turn.
Henley 0, Carterton 2: After a strong lecture at half-time from manager Terry Merriman, Carterton secured victory with two strikes after the break.
Kevin Lewis put Carterton ahead after 53 minutes, firing past Henley keeper Kevin Jenkins.
Mark Odom hit the bar before he was brought down inside the area, and Jamie Butt netted the second from the spot.
Shrivenham 4, Kidlington 1: Kidlington's poor start to the season continued as they allowed Shrivenham to come from behind for a convincing victory.
Debutant Danny Wise gave Kidlington the lead when he smashed home a free kick.
Kidlington were disrupted by injury to striker Luke Holden, and Shrivenham took advantage to win the game with goals from Mark Stevens, Steve Thomas, Alex Green and Mark Peters.
Almondsbury Town 4, Chipping Norton Town 4: Chipping Norton came back from the long trip to Bristol with a point, but it should have been more as they threw away a 4-1 lead in the last 25 minutes.
Almondsbury took the lead through Ford after six minutes, but Chippy stormed back to lead 3-1 at half-time with strikes from Joe Tustain, Dave Skipp and Matt Jeynes, who fired in a thunderous half-volley.
When Tustain's second goal made it 4-1, Chippy seemed home and dry.
But they came under an aerial bombardment from the home side and conceded goals to Lewis, O'Sullivan and Booker, the equaliser coming in injury time.
