Southern League: Thame United remain rooted to the bottom of Southern League Division 1 West after slipping to defeat against Bracknell Town at Aylesbury United on Saturday.
First-half possession was fairly even, but Bracknell created more chances and Thame goalkeeper Paul Searl was forced to make several fine saves in order to keep the match goalless at the interval.
Bracknell's opening goal came in the 56th minute when a Gavin Smith cross beat the Thame defence, and John Palmer found the target from six yards.
Thame fell further behind in the 75th minute when the ball ran to substitute Stuart Tanfield, and he blasted home from ten yards.
Luke Fisher went close for Thame when his shot brought a fingertip save from Bracknell goalkeeper Matt Skinner.
