TWINS Lauren and Ashton Mills have written the saddest note of their lives - an advert for parents to replace their dying mum.
The ten-year-olds' plea reads: "Kids and dog for hire. Life term contract. Sad gits need not apply."
Single mum Tobi Mills, 43, of Haldene Road, Blackbird Leys, has been given just weeks to live by doctors.
Chemotherapy has failed to halt the spread of secondary cancer to her liver so Tobi and her children are looking for long-term foster parents before she dies.
"I think the kids' version of the advert sums up their perspectives very well," said Tobi from her hospital bed in the Blenheim Ward at the Oxford's Churchill Hospital.
This week she is undergoing new treatment in a last attempt to delay her death. She has no illusions about being cured, but she hopes the treatment will give her more time.
Friends and supporters have rallied round to set up The Tobi Mills £10,000 Appeal, which was launched this week. Today we are asking every Oxford Mail reader to pledge just £1 to help send Tobi and her kids on a last holiday together before she dies.
Tobi said: "We are a very up-front family who face up to things and talk about everything together.
"We are trying to accept what is happening but we do have bad days when we just have group hugs and cry."
Tobi is desperate to find her children a new home. She has no family of her own, and although friends are rallying round, none is in a position to help.
