A DYING mum and her twins are to go on the holiday of a lifetime - just 24 hours after the launch of an Oxford Mail appeal to help them.
Tobi Mills, a 43-year-old single mum from Haldene Road, Blackbird Leys, suffers secondary cancer in her liver and has weeks to live.
Yesterday, we reported how her twins Ashton and Lauren had penned an appeal for new parents to look after them and springer spaniel Lacey after Tobi dies.
We launched The Tobi Mills £10,000 Appeal, to fly the three of them, plus two carers, to Disney World in Florida for a last holiday together. Within hours The Sun heard about our appeal - and agreed to arrange the holiday.
Their donation means every penny donated by our readers can be put into a trust fund and used to help provide a secure future for the children.
Tobi and the twins were delighted to hear today that their dream trip is to become a reality. Tobi told the Oxford Mail: "I was gobsmacked that people wanted to help us and to hear how much they were already doing, even before this offer came in.
"Now we'll look forward to the holiday of a lifetime.
"One of the main things we want to do while we're in Florida is to swim with the dolphins." Tobi had the first of six new chemotherapy treatments designed to slow the spread of the disease on Monday. She hopes she will be well enough to go on holiday after the third treatment.
She said: "It will be a holiday for the twins to remember."
The Sun reporter Jamie Pyatt said: "We'll do everything we can possibly do to help them on holiday. When Tobi is well enough and has a doctor's certificate saying she can travel, we'll be sending her, the children and two helpers off across the Atlantic."
Lauren and Ashton, pupils at Lawn Upton School in Littlemore, are delighted at the prospect of going on holiday.
Ashton said: "We've never been abroad before. We said we wanted to go to America on holiday and mum thought of going to Florida. It'll be great." How you can help
